About the event

Create. Reflect. Return.

Join us for a 2-hour mindful journey along a 2-mile stretch of Lake Huron’s shoreline, ending in the quiet embrace of sand dunes. This workshop is an invitation to slow down, collect natural materials with intention, and create temporary works of art that honor the land.

Sarah Bedford will guide us in an exploration of the practice of ephemeral earth art — art made with found objects, designed to dissolve, decay, or be returned to the earth. Along the way, we’ll pause for breathwork, quiet reflection, and journaling to deepen your creative connection with nature.

Bring a journal and a small bag for gathering natural materials.

Offered by donation or energy exchange — all are welcome, no matter your means.

We move through the world with reverence - honouring the lands on which we gather and the ancestral caretakers who have tended to them for generations. We recognise the deep privilege of walking as guests on sacred ground.

Joy et Mare welcomes women of all kinds.
Our retreats and gatherings are inclusive spaces for all who identify as women — inclusive of trans women, non-binary folks who feel aligned with our mission, women of every race, body, background, ability, and age. You are seen. You belong here.
